Dan Clark, since 1981, has been assisting credit unions and other nonprofit organizations in raising their proficiency by clarifying the roles of the board and management. As a consultant, facilitator and coach, Dan blends his unique experiences as a credit union regulator in the 1970’s, board member, board chair, and CEO into a balanced perspective to create governance and strategic planning models unique to each client.

The author of two books on board governance and a model manual of board governance policies, Dan also created training programs for national associations of credit unions. He speaks frequently across the nation on governance, strategy and numerous topics that radiate from those two intersecting spheres. Well over 200 of Dan’s articles have appeared in national publications. Dan was instrumental in starting two nonprofit organizations in Tallahassee, Florida, and served on numerous boards gaining hands-on experience. In recent years board information systems, new director orientation and the development of leadership and financial skills among volunteer directors have been focal points.
