BoardEffect Welcomes Consultant, Sonia J. Stamm
Sonia Stamm brings twenty years of experience in leadership development, training, and management consulting within the nonprofit, service, and technology arenas. Committed to supporting the evolution of mission-based organizations, Sonia has worked with a wide range of nonprofit and for-profit enterprises in the areas of governance, leadership transition and succession, and organizational effectiveness. In 2008, she established The Stamm Consultancy to help nonprofit and entrepreneurial clients build more cohesive organizations.
As a BoardEffect Consultant, Sonia will work with users in maximizing and assessing BoardEffect's impact on organizations. She also will concentrate on building strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to ensure that BoardEffect continues to enhance the governance capacity of nonprofit and for-profit boards of directors.
Since 2001, Sonia has been affiliated with The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University, a management support organization for nonprofits in the Greater Philadelphia region, as a consultant and trainer. For five years, she also served in staff roles as Director of Educational Programs and Director of Leadership Initiatives, creating and launching programs to promote effective leadership for nonprofit executive directors and boards. Sonia previously was Senior Consultant at CEO Resources, Inc., a retained executive search firm specializing in recruiting leadership for growing service and technology-based companies in the mid-Atlantic region.
Before joining CEO Resources, Sonia held staff position at Ben Franklin Technology Partners and Womens Way. She has served as a director of several nonprofit boards, including Options, Inc., and Women Organized Against Rape. For two years, Sonia coached emerging companies at the Mid-Atlantic Venture Fair.
Sonia earned a M.Ed. in adult and organizational development from Temple University and a B.S. in communications technology from Ithaca College. She also holds a certificate in Nonprofit Board Leadership from The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University.
