Scouts of Eastern PA and Family Equality Council Celebrate
1-year anniversary with BoardEffect
Two of BoardEffect’s clients, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, and Family Equality Council, will soon celebrate their one year anniversary using BoardEffect. While the two organizations were experiencing dissimilar challenges with their board, the implementation of an online portal was as effective in both organizations and instrumental in addressing those challenges. Chartered in May 2007, Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, a subsidiary of Girl Scouts of the USA, is dedicated to helping girls develop essential qualities such as leadership, social conscience, and high self esteem. On October 2008, after researching various online solutions, GSEP decided to use BoardEffect to consolidate and automate communication systems for Board members and Council personnel, to allow greater so focus on advancing the organization’s mission. “BoardEffect has streamlined many aspects of the communication process between the Board and our staff,” said Olivia Selinger, Director of Governance at GSEP. “The result has been greater efficiency in our scheduling, committee reporting and task management. BoardEffect has even enabled urgent, ad hoc discussions to resolve matters that can’t wait till the next Board meeting.” |
